1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the CmonGrit -- Grit Your Tasks Out!! mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CmonGrit -- Grit Your Tasks Out!! is a task management and focus productivity application that helps users:

• Create and manage tasks and goals
• Track focus sessions and productivity
• Collaborate with other users on shared tasks
• Monitor progress and statistics
• Participate in group focus sessions

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To use CmonGrit -- Grit Your Tasks Out!!, you must create an account by providing:

• A valid email address
• A username
• An email address for account creation and login via one-time verification code

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• All activities that occur under your account
• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.3 Account Requirements

You must:

• Be at least 13 years old to use the App
• Provide accurate and complete information
• Keep your account information up to date
• Not share your account with others

4. Acceptable Use

4.1 You May:

• Use the App for personal task management and productivity
• Add friends and build your network within the App
• Send and receive friend requests
• Message and communicate with friends and collaborators on shared tasks
• Collaborate with others by sharing tasks and inviting collaborators
• Join or host group focus sessions with friends
• Track productivity streaks and earn achievements
• Create, edit, and delete your own content
• Remove friends as needed

4.2 You May Not:

• Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
• Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
• Send spam, unsolicited messages, or unwanted friend requests
• Bully, intimidate, or engage in hate speech
• Share inappropriate, explicit, or offensive content in messages or tasks
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts
• Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App or other users' accounts
• Scrape, copy, or harvest user data without permission
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to access the App
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the App's servers or functionality
• Violate other users' privacy or share their information without consent
• Engage in any activity that violates these Terms or applicable laws

5. User Content and Communication

5.1 Your Content

You retain all rights to the content you create in the App, including:

• Tasks, notes, and project data
• Messages and comments sent to other users
• Profile information including display name and profile picture

By using the App, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, display, and transmit your content solely to provide the service to you and other users you choose to share with.

5.2 Content Guidelines

All content you create, post, or share must comply with these guidelines. Your content must not:

• Violate any laws or regulations
• Infringe on others' intellectual property, privacy, or other rights
• Contain hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or threats
• Include explicit, pornographic, or inappropriate material
• Promote violence, illegal activities, self-harm, or dangerous behavior
• Contain spam, advertising, or solicitation
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
• Spread misinformation or engage in deceptive practices
• Include malicious content or links

5.3 Messaging and Communication

When using messaging and communication features:

• Messages are private between you and task collaborators
• You are responsible for all messages you send
• Do not share sensitive personal information in messages
• Respect other users' privacy and boundaries
• Report inappropriate behavior or content
• Messages may be retained even after you leave a shared task

5.4 Content Moderation and Reporting

We reserve the right to:

• Remove content that violates these Terms
• Investigate reported content and user behavior
• Suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms
• Cooperate with law enforcement regarding illegal content

Users can report:

• Inappropriate messages or content
• Harassment or abusive behavior
• Spam or unwanted contact
• Terms of Service violations

5.5 Shared Content

When you share tasks or collaborate with others:

• All collaborators can view and edit shared task content
• Your messages on shared tasks are visible to all collaborators
• Removing yourself from a task does not delete your past messages
• Task owners can remove collaborators at any time
• You can leave shared tasks at any time

6. Social Features and Friends

6.1 Friend Connections

The App allows you to connect with other users as friends. When using friend features:

• You can send and receive friend requests
• You can accept or decline friend requests
• You can remove friends at any time
• Friends can see your display name, profile picture, and online status
• You are responsible for whom you add as a friend
• Do not send spam friend requests or harass users

6.2 Collaboration and Task Sharing

When you use collaboration features:

• You can invite friends and other users to collaborate on tasks
• All collaborators can view, edit, and comment on shared tasks
• You are responsible for choosing whom to collaborate with
• Task owners can remove collaborators at any time
• Collaborators can leave shared tasks at any time
• Shared content is visible to all collaborators
• Messages and comments on shared tasks are visible to all collaborators

6.3 Group Focus Sessions

Group focus sessions allow you to study or work together with friends:

• You can join or host group sessions
• Participants can see real-time presence and session information
• You can leave group sessions at any time
• Session hosts can manage participants
• All participants must respect session etiquette and other users

6.4 Gamification

Gamification features include achievements, badges, and streaks tied to your account based on your productivity activity.

6.5 Social Controls

You have control over your social interactions:

• You can remove friends at any time
• You can decline or cancel friend requests
• You can leave shared tasks and group sessions
• You can report users for inappropriate behavior

7. User Conduct

7.1 Respectful Communication

When communicating with other users, you must:

• Be respectful, kind, and considerate
• Not harass, bully, or threaten others
• Not use hate speech or discriminatory language
• Not share explicit or inappropriate content
• Respect others' privacy and boundaries
• Not spam or send unsolicited messages

7.2 Safety and Privacy

For your safety and the safety of others:

• Do not share personal information like addresses, phone numbers, or financial details
• Do not share others' information without their consent
• Report suspicious behavior or safety concerns
• Remove friends who make you uncomfortable
• Be cautious about meeting people from the App in person
• If you are a minor, do not share personal information with strangers

7.3 Consequences of Violations

Violations of these Terms may result in:

• Warning notifications
• Content removal
• Temporary suspension of account
• Permanent account termination
• Reporting to law enforcement (for illegal activities)
• Legal action for damages

8. Subscription and Payments

8.1 Free and Premium Features

CmonGrit -- Grit Your Tasks Out!! offers both free and premium features. Premium features require subscription.

8.2 Subscription Terms

• Subscriptions are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled
• You can cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
• No refunds for partial subscription periods
• Free trial terms (if any) are specified at sign-up

8.3 Price Changes

We may change subscription prices at any time. You will be notified at least 30 days in advance, and changes will apply at your next renewal.

8.4 Refund Policy

Refund requests must be made through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process refunds directly. Please review the refund policy of your app store.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1 Our Rights

The App, including all content, features, and functionality, is owned by CmonGrit -- Grit Your Tasks Out!! and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

9.2 Your Rights

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9.3 User-Generated Content

You retain ownership of your content, but you grant us a license to use, display, and transmit your content as necessary to provide the service.

10. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Key privacy points:

• We do not sell your personal information
• Your messages are private between you and task collaborators
• You can delete your account and data at any time through the app

10.1 Device Permissions

CmonGrit may request access to the following device features. These permissions are optional and can be managed through your device settings:

• Camera & Photo Library: Used only when you choose to set or update your profile picture. We do not access your camera or photos at any other time.
• Microphone: Used only when you choose to record a voice message on a shared task. We do not access your microphone at any other time.

All notifications are delivered in-app and do not require device-level notification permissions. You can manage your in-app notification preferences within the app settings.

CmonGrit does not collect, store, or share your photos, camera feed, or microphone recordings beyond what you explicitly upload as your profile picture or send as a voice message within the app.

11. Disclaimers

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
• Messages will be delivered without delay or failure
• Any data loss will not occur
• The App will meet your specific requirements
• Defects will be corrected immediately
• Other users will behave appropriately
• Connections with friends or collaborators will always work perfectly

11.1 User Interactions

We are not responsible for:

• Interactions between users
• Content shared by other users
• Disputes between collaborators
• Behavior of friends or other users
• Accuracy of information shared by users

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 12 months (or $100 if you haven't paid us anything)
• We are not responsible for any damage to your device or data loss
• We are not liable for actions or content of other users
• We are not responsible for unauthorized access to your account due to your negligence

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any rights of another user
• Content you post or messages you send
• Your interactions with other users
• Any harm caused to others through your use of the App

14. Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments

14.1 Subscription Options

CmonGrit -- Grit Your Tasks Out!! offers the following auto-renewable subscription tiers:

• Weekly: 1 week auto-renewable subscription
• Monthly: 1 month auto-renewable subscription
• Yearly: 1 year auto-renewable subscription

These subscriptions are processed through the platform you use to download the app:

• iOS (iPhone/iPad): Processed through your Apple ID via the App Store. License Agreement: Apple End User License Agreement (EULA).
• Android: Processed through your Google account via Google Play Store and subject to Google Play's Terms of Service.

14.2 Auto-Renewal and Billing

• All subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Payment will be charged to your App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android) account at confirmation of purchase
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• The cost of renewal will be the same as your current subscription price unless otherwise notified

14.3 Managing and Canceling Subscriptions

You can manage your subscriptions and turn off auto-renewal through your platform:

• iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → CmonGrit
• Android: Google Play Store → Account → Subscriptions → CmonGrit

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will continue to have access to premium features until the subscription expires.

14.4 Free Trials

If offered, free trials:

• Convert to paid subscriptions automatically at the end of the trial period unless canceled
• Require a valid payment method on file with Apple (iOS) or Google (Android)
• May be limited to one per user/account

14.5 Refunds

• All purchases are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable law
• iOS: For refund requests, contact Apple directly through your App Store purchase history
• Android: For refund requests, contact Google directly through your Google Play purchase history
• We do not process refunds directly — all payments are handled by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android)
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

14.6 Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices. Any price changes will:

• Apply only to future billing periods
• Be communicated to you in advance through the App or email
• Take effect after your current billing period ends

15. Termination

15.1 By You

You may terminate your account at any time by:

• Deleting your account in the App settings
• Contacting us to request account deletion

15.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Send spam or abuse messaging features
• Create fake accounts or impersonate others
• Repeatedly violate policies after warnings

15.3 Effects of Termination

Upon termination:

• Your access to the App will be immediately revoked
• Your profile and account information will be deleted
• Messages you sent may remain visible to collaborators (marked as "Deleted User")
• Shared tasks you collaborated on may remain accessible to other collaborators
• Your data will be deleted within 30 days
• You can request a data export before deletion
• Subscriptions may be canceled without refund for Terms violations

16. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes through:

• In-app notifications
• Email to your registered address
• Updates to this page with a new "Last updated" date

Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

17. Third-Party Services

The App may integrate with third-party services (Google, Apple, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

18. Dispute Resolution

18.1 Informal Resolution

If you have a dispute, please contact us first. We'll work with you to resolve it informally.

18.2 Arbitration

If informal resolution fails, disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court, except where prohibited by law.

18.3 Class Action Waiver

You agree to bring claims only in your individual capacity and not as part of a class action.

19. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Your State/Country], without regard to conflict of law principles.

20. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

21. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and CmonGrit -- Grit Your Tasks Out!! regarding the App.

22. No Waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
